My name is Jacob Anthony Rousary
I was born in Chicago and raised in the western suburbs. I’ve got a HUGE family. I mean HUMONGOUS. (My grandmother had a total of 7 kids, 26 grandkids and 44 great grandchildren….and counting!) I love them more than you can imagine! I would describe my family as one HECK OF A GOOD TIME. I have countless memories of me as a kid dancing, laughing and telling stories with all of my extended family until almost sunrise. We are also huge House music and Oldies fans.
That means I’m DEFINITELY going to be on the dance floor with you guys on your wedding day. I’ll be spinnin’, shakin’, and dancin’ my way through the crowd- camera in hand- getting those awesome shots of you and your favorite people breakin it down on the dance floor.
Thanks for being here and taking the time to get to know me!

Why did I choose wedding Photography as a career?
There’s a few huge factors that moved me to pursue wedding photography full time.
-I’m a people person. I love making new friends (Like you!) So naturally, being a part of such a momentous occasion surrounded by great people having the time of their lives made this career a natural choice!
-I love taking photos! I enjoy the technical side of photography and the skill itself- but what I capture- that brings the greatest joy. People like you, like my family. All of us deserve to have great photos to reminisce on and call back those emotions we felt. I believe photos are one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves now and our families for the future. It’s a glimpse into the past- a moment that doesn’t just live in memory, but one that can be shared forever.
-I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur. My dad instilled this in me. One of my first businesses was a handmade soap company. It was a blast and I learned so much. I continue to learn and grow in my love for running a business. I appreciate the challenge and the freedom it provides.

Here’s what I do for fun!
My love for dancing and music (especially live music) means you’ll find me frequently at a piano bar like Grape and Grain in Fulton Market, enjoying live Jazz at Tortoise Supper Club, or dancing to live Latin music at Fitzgerald’s in Berwyn or Salsa night at The Cubby Bear.

Camping, Hiking, & Fishing
I do annual camping trips with friends and family in Starved Rock for the Fall colors. Though I’m a pretty social guy, I also enjoy the solitude of being surrounded by nature, wading through a river while fly fishing throughout the Midwest. Even when I travel, I have a packable fishing pole with me! It’s truly my favorite hobby.
Traveling
From day trips & weekend trips in the midwest, to longer getaways in the Caribbean and Mexico- I love traveling! I’m always hunting for new places to snorkel!
Camping, hiking, hunting, and ESPECIALLY fishing are some of my favorite hobbies!
My dad, my brother and myself enjoy cruising our Harley’s in the summertime!
From day trips, weekend trips, to visiting islands in the Carribean and destinations in Mexico- we love traveling!
I love going to concerts with my family!
